Holi Festival of Colors at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple
Background: The Holi Festival is a spring ritual celebrated by Hindus and many other religions. It has many different rituals within it including; a bonfire where they burn a witch/demon and the main festivity is the color throwing, bringing in spring. Holi is celebrated at the end of the winter season on the last full moon day of the lunar month. The biggest Holi Festival in the United States is located in Spanish Fork, Utah at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple, this year there was about 20,000 people in attendance and most of them being college students.
I went this year to the Holi Festival with some of my friends. Here is me with my old roommate Kassi and her friend Kayla. Here we are waiting on the bus on our way to the temple.
My awesome multicolored freckles!
This was in between color sessions so it doesn't do justice of how many people were there...it was AMAZING!
What I looked like at the end...pretty ridiculous uh?
