YELLOWSTONE: the beauty and the bison

Me and some friends decided that for our Memorial Day weekend we are going to do something exciting, so therefore we needed to go to Yellowstone since pretty much none of us has been there. It was absolutely beautiful!!! The weather was kind of crazy and bipolar but we had a blast.

As you can tell, we got caught in a heard of bison. You have offically been greeted into Yellowstone when this happens. They got right up next to the car and I think mostly they were jealous of the delicious goodies we had in the car (aka food...not me :)
The paint pots.

they grow up way too fast

I just wanted to let you all know how excited I am see Spencer and Michelle get engaged! They are absolutely adorable and they are going to be sooo happy together. And if you all are wondering, Michelle is an amazing girl who fits into our family perfectly!!

Another bit of news is that Brian is getting married next month as well so now both of the last of my big brothers are getting married which means that Emily is next to get married. Y'all might say it would be me but this is false and should not be even thought of.

But wish my mother luck this summer...it is going to be EPIC!

I LOVE MY ROOMMATES!

I just want to say how awesome my roommates are. They have become my very best friends, and we have started a very bad habit of staying up way to late every night just talking, giggling, doing homework, watching movies or whatever we feel like doing to put off sleep. I don't know what I did to get so lucky to have roommates like them, but I sure do love them!

This food might not look so great but it was soooooo delicious! It is the Taco Bus just down the street from my apartment...it might be the death of me.

TACO BUS!!!!

This was at a Comedy Improv show on campus. There was Corbin Allred (Saints and Soldiers) and Kirby Heyburn (all sorts of LDS movies). They were soooo hilarious!

One late night with Malia and Kaylissa, they thought that they could sleep at a sleepover...silly girls!

my new obsession

A very generous man in one of my classes showed me this amazing site. His name is Steve McCurry. He is an amazing photographer for National Geographic and his pictures put you on this roller-coaster of emotions.

The photographs are so awesome and you can't take your eyes off of them and creates an elaborate story with each picture he takes.

Click on the link to check out his site.

The One with the Flying Golfballs

This is my new FHE group (well most of them anyway).

We had joint FHE activity in Idaho Falls where our Bishopric rented a golf course and we got to do pretty much whatever we wanted. The way we played was that there was three categories; golfing, throwing and tennis. A different person did each category and then you added them all up.

And if any one knows me very well at then you guys would know that I have little talent when it comes to aiming small objects so my group got a lot of entertainment from this one.

Me with my beautiful roomie Miss Emily Petty. Isn't she gorgeous!?

We are so rockin' our stunna shades!

Our beautiful Hawaiian!

One of my new roomies, Kaylissa, we all love her!

Emily got a little confused with golf and pool...a very easy mistake!

Returning to Rexburg

I have recently returned back to Rexburg, a place I didn't think I would miss so much. I am excited to back here and get back into the rhythm of things here. Classes don't start until Tuesday so let's all pray that I can handle it all!!

This was my room before I moved in...I know boring uh?

This was it in the middle of it all. Can you tell that I just threw everything in through the window?

The end result! (just picture curtains and you got my room)

I am sooooo excited to see all my friends again and just go on so many adventures!!

Summing up my time in Caldwell

Emily and I had spent all day this Friday preparing a big party for Natalie and her friends so afterwards we were absolutely drained of all energy. So to calm down we made ourselves some fancy drinks (and by fancy I mean glass cups and umbrellas).

That night after watching a funny youtube video (click here to watch it, sooooo funny) we wanted to dye our hair with kool aid. Afterwards all we got was Natalie's hair was slightly green, we were very disappointed. But we had a lot of fun doing it!

This Easter we had a great time staying in; watching general conference and having a little easter egg hunt for the kids. It was supper cold/windy outside as usual so we just our hunt for the kids downstairs.

They all had a lot of fun, Bentley and Bridon being the only ones that really knew what they were doing.

Bridon....oh Bridon!

Seriously this boy is CRAZY!!

Holi Festival of Colors at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple

Background: The Holi Festival is a spring ritual celebrated by Hindus and many other religions. It has many different rituals within it including; a bonfire where they burn a witch/demon and the main festivity is the color throwing, bringing in spring. Holi is celebrated at the end of the winter season on the last full moon day of the lunar month. The biggest Holi Festival in the United States is located in Spanish Fork, Utah at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple, this year there was about 20,000 people in attendance and most of them being college students.

I went this year to the Holi Festival with some of my friends. Here is me with my old roommate Kassi and her friend Kayla. Here we are waiting on the bus on our way to the temple.

My awesome multicolored freckles!

This was in between color sessions so it doesn't do justice of how many people were there...it was AMAZING!

What I looked like at the end...pretty ridiculous uh?

drives to duschene, sucking at tennis and 18 mile bike rides

on one bright sunny day in Utah I kidnapped Ryan and we went on a drive up Provo Canyon...it was beautiful. But you know me I got bored of paved roads so forced Ryan on some side road that ended up giving my car a mud-bath and getting lost on Indian land. If that isn't fun I don't know what is.

some of just the many adventures I had with my Best-Friend Ryan Wilson are playing tennis where we both suck so bad that the 5 year old child at the next court made us look bad. And going on 18 mile bike roads where our butts were soooo sore that I couldn't sit properly for the next 36 hours. Drinking odd Brazilian drinks, having monkey-bar races, eating Thai food, flying Batman kites and all nighters...now those things are just as fun!
